Fly Rail I: Intro to Fly Rail and Brick Loading

Counterweight fly systems are the main method of materials handling in a theater. They lift the curtains, scenic elements, lighting, and everything that goes above the stage. Upon successful completion of the class the worker will have a familiarity with the parts of a Counter Weight fly rail system, how to safely work with and around the fly rail, and how to load and unload counterweight. completion also can lead to increased work as their skills in these systems increase.

The learner must have worked a call from the referral hall, worked under a collective bargaining agreement, or be a current member of IATSE Local 122.

This is an in person class offered at the Balboa Theater located at 868 Fourth Avenue, San Diego, CA, 92101 . Parking will not be reimbursed. Please take traffic and parking into consideration to arrive on time.
