Power Distribution is an intermediate class focusing on the standards and practices involved in portable power distribution for the entertainment industry. It will focus on workplace safety, electrical skills, codes and standards, and system planning as outline by ETCP, NEC, and OSHA.
This class is recommended for any worker who has direct contact with power distribution systems, this includes department heads for Audio, Video, Carpentry, Rigging as well as Entertainment Electricians and anyone who wishes to be certified as and ETCP Entertainment Electrician or Portable Power Distribution Technician.
This class is taught online. the class information will be distributed at latest the day of the class.
Part 2 is a two day class that will be held May 5th and 6th from 9 am to 1pm Pacific standard time.
It is highly recommended that the worker attend both part 1 and part 2.
This Class is funded and produced for IATSE referents through the IATSE local 122 Education System. Individuals who have not been dispatched through or worked under an IATSE bargaining agreement cannot attend.
