Rigging 45: Charlie Young Theater Rigging Class

The Civic Theater is San Diego’s only Broadway style theater that can host national touring acts. Learn the skills needed to be dispatched as a rigger in a theater setting.
This class will focus on:
- Working on a tension grid or loft over a stage
- Pulling points
- Installing baskets in both dead-hang and bridal configurations
- Working and communicating with other riggers
PLEASE NOTE: This class will be held over two days:
- Tue, Oct 24, 2023, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Wed, Oct 25, 2023, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
PLEASE NOTE:
- This is a highly demanding job that requires both strength and stamina.
- The learner must have worked a call from the referral hall, worked under a collective bargaining agreement, or be a current member of IATSE Local 122.
- This is an in person class. This class has limited attendance and all attendees must have a reservation; therefore, it will be treated like a job call.

- Tardiness and/or No-Call-No-Show will be reported to the IATSE Local 122 Compliance Committee.
