Truck Loading Class for Theatrical Shows

Truck loading is an important part of materials handling in the entertainment industry. Safely and efficiently loading and unloading truck is important not only to keep stagehands from being injured but also prevents equipment damage and makes load in and load out more efficient.
The worker will learn how to plan, load, and secure boxes, equipment and theatrical scenery. They will learn to stack and unstack boxes, how and why to put wheels to the back, and the proper use of ratchet straps and load bars among other essential skills for a stagehand.
The Old Globe Tech Center requires proof of vaccination to enter the venue and that masks be worn while on property. Please be prepared to provide both proof of vaccination and a mask the day of class. The Old Globe is providing a venue and equipment for this class please respect their policies.
