Administration 10: Orientation (In-Person)
May 2 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Welcome to Administration 10, the essential and required orientation for working through the IATSE Local 122 Referral Hall.
Important Note: This class is different from the general Open House. While the Open House offered a brief introduction (covering roughly 15% of the necessary material), this comprehensive Orientation is mandatory and dives much deeper.
This session covers the critical specifics of our rules, procedures, and effective call handling. We’ll provide practical tools and insights to help you:
- Understand realistic expectations of the dispatch system.
- Increase your potential for consistent work.
- Develop solid personal finance strategies relevant to industry work.
- Navigate the health and welfare systems effectively – learning how to use the resources available.
- Adapt successfully to the dynamic entertainment industry.
We will also cover the benefits and educational opportunities available through IATSE Local 122. This course is designed to equip you with the practical knowledge needed for success.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Prerequisite: The learner must have worked a call from the referral hall, worked under a collective bargaining agreement, or be a current member of IATSE Local 122. (If you believe you have already fulfilled the Orientation requirement, please contact us with the date you attended so we can verify).
- Format: This is an in-person class with limited attendance.
- Reservation Required: All attendees must have a reservation. This will be treated like a job call.
- Attendance: If you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket or email education@iatse122.org promptly.
- Consequences: Tardiness and/or No-Call-No-Show will be reported to the IATSE Local 122 Compliance Committee.
