From the proper handling of equipment to understanding the language of the stage\, you will gain the practical skills necessary to step onto a job site with confidence. \nCourse Outline:\n1. The Art of the Coil: Professional Cable Wrapping A well-coiled cable is the mark of a true professional. Learn the industry-standard “over-under” wrapping technique\, a method that not only prevents tangles and extends the life of the cable but also ensures quick and easy deployment during setup. We will cover the mechanics of this essential skill\, allowing you to handle audio\, lighting\, and power cables with proficiency. \n2. A Clean Stage is a Safe Stage: Tabbing and Taping Properly securing cables is paramount for the safety of performers\, crew\, and the audience. This section will introduce the correct methods for “tabbing” and taping down cables using gaffer’s tape.
